Text Box: Owners Tickets
Privileges are varied from Club to Club, therefore it is probably easier to contact either Paul Maher (0404 960 978) to arrange appropriate ticketing.

Rule of thumb is that each owner gains free entry to the course, should receive at least 1 Members Enclosure Pass and depending on the number of owners 2 passes may be issued. Mounting Yard passes are usually restricted to named owners only and to a maximum of 10 (this can also vary from Club to Club).

GENERAL INFORMATION FROM RACING VICTORIA

Entrance to Racecourses
Many clubs have special parking areas for owners and once parked, owners may enter through any gate at both metropolitan and country racecourses.
Free admission is supplied for owners who have a horse racing on the day and Racing Victoria officials will mark off your name at the gate.

Ticketing
On race day, owners that have horses running on the day are entitled to general admittance and entry to the members’ enclosure.

Owner ticket allocation is based on the following numbers:

On feature race days (days that hold Group and Listed races and Country Cup days), these ticketing guidelines will be strictly adhered to however there are certain days when more than ten tickets will be available for partnership and syndicate groups. If you would like to request more tickets, please contact the club secretary in regards to ticket availability.

Collection of Tickets
Members’ or Owners’ tickets can be collected from the Secretary’s Office located at each course.
Signage will direct you to the Secretary’s Office at each country track. Racing Victoria staff members are located throughout each course and can direct you to the office.

Mounting Yard Passes
Owners may also enter the Mounting Yard to discuss tactics with their trainer and jockey before their horse races. However, the size of the yard and the number of horses entered for the race has meant that the number of mounting yard passes distributed must be regulated.
Safety is also a high priority and excitable young thoroughbreds can become quite fractious before a race …and they’re wearing steel shoes!
It is up to the discretion of the Stewards and Club Secretary to determine how many tickets can be allocated. This will vary at each race meeting and from club to club.

Owners’ Rooms
A race club official is always on hand at Victorian race meetings to invite connections of the winning horse for a celebratory drink in the Committee Room or a private room reserved for the occasion. The race will be replayed on video at all metropolitan and country tracks.
The connections of the other horses in the race are also invited to re-live the race and plan the next step in their assault on the turf in a designated room at each of the metropolitan tracks.

Winners photos
At all metropolitan racecourses, the winning owners will receive a photo of their pride and joy taken by the photo-finish camera and some owners will be presented with the photo whilst celebrating in the winning owners room.
At the larger country clubs, you will also receive a free-framed photo if your horse wins a race on their Cup day.
If the racecourse does not have the facilities to process photos on-course, you may order photos from the photographer in attendance on the day.

Trophies
Trophies are awarded in many races and are included in your horse’s total stakes earnings. The value of the trophy is listed in the racebook with the value of the prizemoney on offer.
